A physical conditioning coach based in Mumbai was arrested after an actor in Telugu registered a complaint against him claiming rape.
Mumbai police arrested a physical conditioning coach on Tuesday after an actor, who worked in Telugu films, filed a complaint, claiming that he had raped and assaulted her.
The defendant, identified as Aditya Kapoor, supposedly promised to marry the actor and then violated her repeatedly.
The case has been registered at the police station of the Cuffe parade in southern Mumbai. According to the police, the defendant refused to marry the actor, initially her excuses, and then abused her and assaulted her.

The defendant was also in possession of some private photos of the woman who threatened to make them public. He also threatened to kill her.
After threats and assault, the woman registered a case against the defendant. It has been reserved in sections 376, 323, 504, 506 (2) of the Indian Criminal Code (IPC), 67, and 67a of the Information Technology Law (IT).
The woman has been involved in the Telugu industry since 2016 and has appeared in several films.
